Hello blogging world...
So... I'm trying to make the transition from relaxed to natural. OMG! Is this tough or what? Don't get me wrong I was natural for a whole year last year. But I couldn't take it anymore so I got a perm. But only one. Then my cousin, who is natural with long hair, convinced me to go back natural. It was easier the first time because I just kept putting weave in it. But this time around I want to put weave in it still, but I also want to press it. And now, watching all these youtube videos, I want to cut it and where it curly.
Now, I'm going natural because I don't think enough woman in TEXAS are natural. I need a change. Something that makes me stand out. And I definitely don't think there are many women in Houston that are natural. This process may have not been so bad, had I still lived in Dallas. But Houston is so hot and humid. Some may say the humidity helps with the moisturizing of the hair, but when you are pressing your hair???? Yea! Doesn't help a bit. That's where the weave comes in.
But, like I said before, I want to cut it now. I've been watching all of these youtube videos with women with natural hair and the hairstyles that they create. Gosh it makes them look so unique. and I'm thinking to myself, "I wonder if I cut my hair would I be as pretty as SOME of these women. There is one girl, named NikkiMae, that is at the beginning of her journey, and OMG! her hairstyles are so cute. Shout out to Ms. Mae! But I'm thinking, "Hmmm. My head may be a tad bit too big to rock the short look."
I don't know yet though. I've been natural this time around for about 5 or 6 months. If anybody can help a sista out. It would be greatly appreciated.
